Shahid Kapoor following footsteps of ‘Dabangg’ Salman Khan, confirms Deva 2

‘Deva’ star Shahid Kapoor sparked a controversy after he recently took a dig at some superstars who walk in with a lot of attitude and make others feel like their presence must be acknowledged. Social media users felt like the dig was directed at superstar Salman Khan.

However, Bollywood’s chocolate boy has clarified that he would never say anything disrespectful about Salman. He revealed that he has so much respect for him.

“If I ever want to take a dig, it will never be at somebody who is so senior and so established, and who I have so much respect for. So just to clear that out once and for all,” Shahid Kapoor replied. For the unversed, Salman Khan even had a cameo role in Shahid’s ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’.

The two share a good camaraderie both on and off-screen. Salman has always showered his love for Shahid whenever the two have come together. Recently, they were spotted together in Bigg Boss when Shahid reached out to promote his film. 

Meanwhile, the ‘Dil Maange More’ actor has confirmed that the makers would come up with Deva 2 if part 1 which is releasing this Friday on Jan 31 receives a good response from the audience. The makers have opened up the booking for ‘Deva’ and the response is overwhelming.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see Shahid in the role of a police officer. On the work front, he has more films lined up in his kitty. He has re-joined hands with Kaminey director Vishal Bharadwaj for a mafia film and also has a mega action film with ‘Jawan’ fame director Atlee.

He was last seen in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ with Kriti Sanon.
