FINALLY! Shah Rukh Khan meets fan from Jharkhand who waited outside Mannat for 95 days
Bollywood royalty is back together, and fans can hardly contain their excitement. After nearly two decades, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji are set to share screen space once again in the much-anticipated action-thriller King. This marks their first collaboration since the 2006 hit Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, reigniting a legendary on-screen pairing that fans have missed dearly.
Be it the charm of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or the emotional intensity of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Shah Rukh and Rani’s chemistry has always left audiences spellbound. Now, as per a report by Pinkvilla, the two are reuniting in King, which also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan in a pivotal role.
This film not only marks Rani’s cinematic comeback after a brief hiatus, but also places her in a powerful role — as Suhana’s mother and a character who reportedly serves as the emotional anchor of the story.
Contrary to rumours of a fleeting appearance, sources confirm that Rani Mukerji’s role in King is central to the plot. She reportedly agreed immediately upon hearing the script, impressed by the depth and significance of her character.
The film is helmed by Siddharth Anand and boasts an ensemble cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma. Shooting is scheduled to commence on 20th May, with an expansive European leg to follow. The makers are aiming for a late 2026 release.
With powerhouse talent, emotional storytelling, and the return of an iconic pairing, King promises to be one of Bollywood’s biggest events in years. For fans of Shah Rukh and Rani, this is more than just a film — it’s a royal reunion that’s been 19 years in the making.
