Shah Rukh Khan replies to 'Who will be the next King of Romance after SRK,' watch

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is dubbed as the King of Romance. While fans refer to him as the 'last of superstars,' recently the Bollywood Baadshah replied to 'Who will be the next King of Romance' after him.

On Saturday evening, at the ongoing event of IIFA Awards 2024 in Abu Dhabi, SRK hosted the event with his dearest friend and colleague Karan Johar. The Jawan actor's iconic entry made the live audience overexcited and the event echoed with cheers. After he walked onto the stage, his co-host and ace filmmaker Karan Johar welcomed him.

A video clip of the humorous conversation of the duo has taken the internet by storm in which he wittily replies who will be the 'Next King of Romance.'

At the event, KJo while welcoming the Pathaan actor says, "That's what we missed the most about Shah Rukh Khan. He's comeback!"

To this the King actor replies, "Aur kitne comeback karunga? Kar to liya!"

I know, I know, lekin aap mere liye interview nahi karna chahte, but can you do an interview for your fans in Abu Dhabi Mr Shah Rukh Khan?"

Well, the excited audience can be heard cheering out loud.

"I would, I would. But, you know, bada boringnsa hota hai yeh interview," says SRK.

Next, KJo says, "I will play a game with you. Mein el game khelunga apke saath."

"You are always playing with me. Tell me something new," says the Dunki actor.

As the humorous conversation continues between the duo, Karan says, "Aab aap khud ki bejati karoge." 

After SRK agrees, the filmmaker continues, "Aap pehele bahut wedding shows karte they. Lekin apne jana kyun band kardia abhi?"

SRK wittily responds, "Woh kya hai na, pehele mein login ki damad ke umar ka tha, abhi mein sasur ki umar ka ho gaya hoon. Toh begani shaadi mein Abdullah deewanasa lagta hoon mein."

The next question was, "Aapko cooking ka bada shouk hai, aapne band kyun kar diya?"

The Karan Arjun star replies, "Jabse picturein chalne shuru hui, meine cooking band kardi. Aab cooking karenge mere competitors." 

Shifting the mood towards "insulting everyone" KJo says, "Aap nayi generation ke actors ko kya advice dena chahoge. What should they try?"

As SRK starts, "They should try..." Karan interrupts and says, "Gyming, networking, botoxing..."

"No Karan, they should try acting," replies SRK.

KJo continues, "Aap bhai hum sab jante hain, aap Mannat mein rehte ho, bungalow mein rehete ho, par kya apne kabhi apartment mein rehene ka socha hai?"

To this, SRK replies, "Nahi, ho nahi sakta na, kyun ki mere upar koi ho hi nahi sakta. Mein actors ki chhat (roof) hoon."

Next, Karan comes to the main question. He says, "Sorry to ask you this, lekin, aapke retire hone ke baad, kya lagta hai, agla 'King of Romance' kaun hoga?"

To this, SRK makes funny faces and says, "Actually, romance bhi mere saath retire ho jayega."

The audience gives a shout-out to this reply.

Next, Karan says, "Toh koi 'palat palat palat' karega hi nahi na," and SRK agrees to it.

Notably, SRK won the NEXA IIFA Award 2024 for his stellar performance in leading role (male) in Jawan.
