Arshad Warsi calling Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD a joker has now taken a new turn. From many South Indian film industry people slamming the Bollywood comedian for his choice of words to netizens, especially Bollywood fans supporting Warsi to some extent the last week has seen a huge controversy flare up on social media.

South Indian leading actor Nani earlier said that Arshad Warsi gained more fame for calling Prabhas a joker than in his entire career. However, it was his first-hand comment. But when he saw the entire clip the South Indian actor reiterated his statement and apologised to the Circuit of Bollywood. But all through this controversy there was no direct reply from either the director of Kalki 2898 AD- Nag Ashwin or Prabhas himself.

Today in his tweet Nag Ashwin said, “Let's not go backwards..no more north-south or bolly vs tolly..eyes on the bigger picture.. United Indian Film Industry..Arshad saab should have chosen his words better..but it's ok..sending buji toys 4 his kids..il work hard so tweets fdfs that Prabhas was the best in k2.”

This comment was made in reply to a social media user’s tweet who felt that even though South Indians respect Bollywood artists and welcome them the South Indian actors do not get the same respect which has hurt Prabha fans. Sympathising with the user, Nag Ashwin replied, “Too much hate in the world already bro...we can try not to add to it. I know prabhas garu will also feel the same...”

Now fans of the Baahubali actor are eagerly awaiting Prabhas to make some comments and give a reply to Arshad Warsi’s comment. However, looking at the track record of the Rebel star he usually avoids controversies and instead prefers remaining silent on such issues.

One thing is sure this incident has once again brought to the fore the rivalry between South and Bollywood.
