Cyber attacks against the South movie industry seem to be on the rise as more cases of online leaks were reported on Monday. The Mythri Movie Makers took to Twitter on August 16 to issue a statement after scenes from their films, Pushpa and Sarkaru Vaari Paata were leaked online.

Apart from filing a complaint with the Cyber Crime Department in Hyderabad against those behind the leaks, the Mythri Movie Makers have issued a statement requesting audience not to encourage piracy and wait till the movies are release in theatres.

"We are deeply disturbed by the recent leaks of our movie material online. We condemn it and have lodged a complaint against the same in the cyber crime department. The culprits would soon be booked by the law. Please do not encourage piracy (sic)," the makers wrote while sharing the statement.
