  • Sara Ali Khan supposedly touched a security guard inappropriately while entering a restaurant.
  • The incident triggered a debate on the legal rights of men against molestation from women.

Actress Sara Ali Khan, who is more in limelight for her typical namaste to the paparazzi team and impeccable manners, is currently in the news for all wrong reasons.

A few days ago, the princess of Pataudi was spotted with one of her dear friends Sharmin Sehgal entering a posh restaurant in Mumbai. Incidentally, the actress looked a bit deranged which made many users on social media speculate that she was drunk.

However, a 'drunken' Sara Ali Khan was not the reason why she was trolled as drinking is not a crime in India. She allegedly touched a security guard inappropriately while entering the restaurant. At least that was the conclusion that the netizens derived after the video clip went viral.

While a lot of users were in favour of Sara and supported the actress saying that what happened was unintentional, there were many others who questioned what if this had been done by a man.

That was why there was a lot of uproar on social media which also resulted in an open debate regarding the need for laws to protect men under such circumstances.

Netizens argued that if a drunken man had behaved in a similar way with a woman, she would have raised a hue and cry and it could have led to the man being jailed or fined.

Netizens claimed that as the rights of men in such a situation are not clear, the law should be placed by the government to protect the dignity of a man who is publicly or privately molested in this way.

Surprisingly, at present, there is no decided legal course of action a man can take if he faces such a situation and that brings to light the need for such legal rights.
