Samantha Ruth Prabhu is back in India after spending a few weeks in the USA. Recently she was spotted at the Mumbai airport looking happy and bright as usual. However, when the paparazzi started clicking and crowding around her she made an astonishing statement.
The Family Man actress said that she thought she escaped them all by coming from a different side. But somehow paps managed to get an inkling that the Tollywood superstar was around and followed her. Although she did not look uncomfortable, Samantha definitely looked surprised because it seemed she was fully confident of ditching the media people.
Her latest movie Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda released on September 1 and performed decently in the first week. But it has witnessed a sharp decline as Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Anushka Shetty’s Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty released a week later. Although the collection is not good for the Telugu version Kushi’s Tamil version has turned out to be a big hit.
Currently, things are not working well for Samantha both on the personal and career side. While most of her recent releases have not done well, she is also fighting an autoimmune condition that has forced her to take a break from work multiple times. Now rumours are strong that the Oh! Baby actress is interested in joining politics.
She is actively involved in supporting the farmers from Telangana and has been the spokesperson for clothes that are made by handloom weavers. Many believe that she has been supporting activities introduced by the Telangana government that support the local farmers and may soon join the campaigning of a political party called Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
However, as of now, there is no official confirmation regarding Samantha joining politics. She will be next seen in the Indian version of Citadel along with Varun Dhawan which is the prequel to the Western Citadel series led by Priyanka Chopra Jonas .
