Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen in the 2023 films Shaakuntalam and Kushi. In 2024, she appeared in the Prime Video web series Citadel: Honey Bunny, directed by Raj & DK, where she starred opposite Varun Dhawan. The spy thriller marked her second collaboration with the director duo.

Stepping into a new role, Samantha also launched her own production banner, Tralala Moving Pictures. The first film under her banner is titled Subham. 

She is working on two projects: Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, another Raj & DK series for Netflix, and Maa Inti Bangaram, produced by her own company.
