There was a time when she was the most sought-after actress in the Telugu film industry. Ever since her debut with ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ opposite Naga Chaitanya, she is among the very few actresses who have worked with all the big league actors in the South.

Yes, we are talking about none other than the gorgeous Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Just from the beginning of her career, she has worked with all the superstars like Mahesh Babu, Vijay Thalapathy, Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Vijay Deverakonda, Allu Arjun, Kiccha Sudeep and Nithiin.

Despite giving several hit movies, the actress has been lying low due to an extended period of myositis, an autoimmune disease. The ‘Eega’ actress has been forced to opt out of many big film projects and take a break from acting.

Recently, during an interview, she opened up about the struggles that she is going through. She revealed that she often wakes up with pins and needles in her eyes.

“You know, I have been through a lot of struggle because as an actor, you are always expected to display perfection. I have always wanted to be better and better and better, look better and look better. And finally now I am at a place where I have no control over anything,” Samantha stated.

“I have no control over this condition, the medication that I have to take, side effects of all of the medication. One day I look puffy, one day I look fat, one day I’m sick. I have no control over how I look. Every day I wake up with pins and needles on my eyes. I go through this pain,” she added.

She continued, “I’m sensitive to light which is why I wear glasses. I don’t wear glasses just for fun and style. I have intense migraines. I have intense pain in my eyes. They swell from the pain and this is every single day for the last eight months. I have reached the lowest of lows.”
