Tollywood power couple Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya on Saturday cleared air on the ongoing controversy surrounding their marriage. Both Samantha and Naga Chaintanya opened up before the world to announce that they are parting ways.
Taking to social media, Naga Chaitanya wrote, “To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths.”
The actor further said that, “We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us.”

Naga Chaitanya also urged his fans to extend their support to the couple during the difficult times and respect their privacy.
“We request our fans, well wishers and media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on,” the actor wrote on his twitter account.

It is pertinent to mention here that speculations were rife about the relationship between Naga Chaintanya and Samantha. However, the ‘Oh Baby’ actress and Naga Chaitanya preferred to remain tight lipped over their divorce rumours.
Recently, Samantha while interacting with the fans had rubbished rumours about shifting her base to Mumbai from Hyderabad. The actress did not open up on rumours about her marital discord with Naga Chaitanya.
But a lot of fans had sensed trouble between the couple after Samantha dropped Akkineni from her name on social media platforms.
