Samantha Ruth Prabhu has once again proved to be the most sought after actress in the Indian film industry. 

Ormax Media recently released the ‘Most Popular Female Stars’ list, and Samantha was on the top of the list, leaving behind top actresses like Alia Bhatt and Nayanthara. 

As per the Ormax Media, Samantha surpassed all top Bollywood actresses including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt to top the list.

The Theri actress recently won millions of hearts with her dance moves in 'Oo Antava' song from Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Pushpa The Rise'. The song not only set the internet on fire, but also set many records.

Upcoming Projects of Samantha

Samantha's upcoming mythological drama 'Shaakuntalam' will hit the theatres on November 4. The makers of the magnum opus, directed by Gunasekhar, made the announcment on Friday. 

Samantha, who seems to have taken a break from social media, surprised the fans by putting out a tweet that read, "November fourth it is. Thank you for the love. You have always been my strength.#Shaakuntalam".

Shaakuntalam is based on the popular play 'Shakuntala' by Kalidasa. Samantha will be seen playing the titular role while Dev Mohan will play Dushyanta.

Moreover, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently busy prepping for her upcoming project, 'Citadel' which is the Indian divergent of the umbrella series of the same name. It also star Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan.

For Sam, 'Citadel' is the second spy action drama after her hit OTT series, 'The Family Man 2'.

Besides, Samantha will be seen in 'Khushi' along with Vijay Deverakonda, and Yashoda which is directed by Hari and Harish.

Kajal Aggarwal and Anushka Shetty were spotted at number 4 and 10 respectively. And this has left fans confused because the duo is not seen in any movie for quite some time now.

"Wonder how #AnushkaShetty keep on holding her place in the top 10 female stars (All - India) even though she doesn’t had any releases over the past 2 years," wrote a Twitter user.

Another Twitterati wrote, "See how Kajal and Anushka maintaining their position even though they don't have any releases."

Alia was spotted at number 2, while Rashmika Mandanna and Keethy Suresh were on sixth and seventh positions respectively.
