Salman Khan postpones ‘Sikandar’ teaser release as mark of respect for former PM Manmohan Singh

In light of the passing of India’s former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, superstar Salman Khan who was scheduled to release the teaser of his upcoming highly-anticipated film ‘Sikandar’ has decided to postpone it.

The makers were eagerly waiting for the teaser to be dropped on Salman Khan’s birthday today. However, in the wake of the former PM’s sudden demise, the makers have decided to release the teaser tomorrow on December 28.

“In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to 28th December 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding,” the Nadiadwala Grandson said in a tweet.

Fans are hailing the superstar for postponing the teaser release although today is his birthday. Meanwhile, the ‘Sultan’ of Bollywood celebrated his birthday in a low profile in the presence of close friends and family.

Several pictures of his birthday celebration have found their way to social media. Dressed in a brown jacket, Salman looked dashing as always in the leaked pictures from the birthday party. Like every year, hundreds of fans gathered outside Galaxy Apartment to wish the Bhaijaan on his birthday.

Meanwhile, wishes from fans and friends from the film fraternity are pouring in for the superstar who turned 59 today.
