Bollywood superstar Salman Khan teamed up with BTown's ace filmmaker Karan Johar for action-drama 'The Bull' after 25 years. Fans were eagerly waiting for the updates on the movie inspired by real incidents. However, it seems, the tentatively titled movie 'The Bull', might not happen as recent reports suggest that Salman has walked out of the Vishnuvardhan directorial.

As per earlier reports, the movie was slated to go on floors in November 2023. Later, it got postponed to January 2024 and subsequently February and then May. However, the latest reports suggest that KJo requested more time from Salman till July after it hit some roadblocks due to production delays. So, Salman decided to walk out of the project.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Salman decided to focus on another project with Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss, which is set to begin in May 2024.

While Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss have planned to go on floors in May 2024, KJo has plans to begin shooting 'The Bull' in November 2024.

The report quoted a source as saying, "After a lot of back and forth on the dates, Karan and Vishnu were still not able to commit to the exact timelines of the shoot. That’s when Salman conveyed his decision to back out from the project. Salman politely informed his decision to Karan."

Furthermore, a bystander said, "Bhai (Salman) said, ‘Destiny doesn’t want this film to happen, so let’s move on.’ Karan is exploring newer ideas for a collaboration with Salman."

As per the report, Karan understands Salman's point of view as they have been discussing the dates for over a year now, but, they couldn't reach any conclusion.
Further, the source added, “He (Karan) might give another try to make Bull a reality but at the moment, the army film is shelved from Salman’s end. If Karan can commit to a certain timeline on paper, he might come back and try his luck to relaunch the project.”

However, there is no official statement backing the claims either from the makers or the actor.

For the unversed, Salman was to play the character of Brigadier Faruk Bulsara in the patriotic flick, 'The Bull.' Brigadier Faruk Bulsara, a paramilitary officer was the leader of Operation Cactus in 1988 in the Maldives. The movie was targeted for the 2025 Eid release. However, it seems, fans might not see their favourite matinee idol in Brigadier Faruk Bulsara's shoes.
