Superstar Salman Khan is a senior member of YRF's Spy Universe. The mammoth success of Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai probably triggered the idea to include War and Pathaan and create the Spy Universe. All the flicks under the Spy Universe have performed well at the box office. However, Salman's Tiger 3 couldn't meet upto the expectations. Aditya Chopra and the YRF team have chalked out bigger plans for the expansion of the Spy Universe and have decided to give in more efforts to rebuild the image of Agent Tiger.
To date, there are 5 movies made under Spy Universe and Salman has appeared in 4 movies, except Hrithik Roshan's War. Now, the creative team has reportedly decided that Tiger won't be seen in War 2 and Pathaan 2 in cameos as the audience has had enough of Tiger.
Bollywood Hungama, in its report, quoted a trade source as saying, "The Team at YRF feels that there is enough of Tiger and he should mark a return to the universe at the most crucial juncture now. Having random cameos in feature films will dilute the power of Tiger as a standalone character. He has discussed the larger plans for Tiger with Salman Khan and even he is on the same page."
Further, the source added, "Salman is also tired of doing cameos and is now wanting to do something substantial. Adi doesn't want the cameos within the universe to be gimmicks and hence he will be carefully plotting the criss-crossing of all key characters in the timeline ahead. Watch out for the return of Tiger in the most unexpected manner going forward."
Notably, Salman was seen in an extended cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and SRK appeared in Tiger 3. Fans of the Khans celebrated the scenes in which Pathaan and Tiger were in action. Even Hrithik Roshan's guest appearance in the post-credit scene fuelled excitement among all.
Soon after the official announcement of War 2 and Pathaan 2, fans were hopeful that Agent Tiger would also have cameos in both movies. However, it seems, need to wait a little longer to watch 'The Return of Tiger.' Meanwhile, Agent Pathaan's cameo in War 2 can be expected as it would pave the way for the next instalment of the Spy Universe.
Regarding War 2, director Ayan Mukerji has already kickstarted the shooting. With the target of the makers to release the movie in 2025, Hrithik and Jr NTR have already begun shooting for the same. As per the latest reports, Duggu has allotted over 100 days for the shoot of the movie. In the over 100 days of the shoot, Hrithik will be shooting his solo sequences as well as combination sequences with Jr. NTR. Even the RRR actor is also devoting around 100 days to shooting. The film will be packed with high-octane action and drama. Moreover, the movie will also mark the Bollywood debut of Jr NTR. Even Jr NTR, Kiara and Hrithik will be sharing screen space for the first time.
Apart from SRK, cameos of female spy agents including Alia Bhatt's character can be expected. However, fans need to wait for an official announcement confirming the developments.
