Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has come a long way since his debut in 1989 with 'Maine Pyar Kiya' as the male lead alongside Bhagyashree. Though Sallu made his debut in 1988 with 'Biwi Ho To Aisi' alongside Farooq Shaikh and Rekha, it was Sooraj Barjatya's romantic drama 'Maine Pyar Kiya' in which Salman was the male lead. The movie went on to become a blockbuster and later on became a timeless classic.

Apart from achieving success, the movie set the foundation for Salman and still continues to hold a special place in the hearts of moviegoers as well as Salman himself. But, did you know, Salman Khan thanked his fans through a handwritten letter after the immense success of the movie?

Recently, a handwritten letter from Salman Khan surfaced on social media in which the actor expressed his gratitude to moviegoers for their unwavering love and support for 'Maine Pyar Kiya.' He also thanked everyone for accepting him as an actor.

Reportedly, Salman wrote the letter after four months after the film's release ( December 1989). The heartfelt letter reflects the Sultan actor's humility and appreciation for his fans.

Addressing his fans, Salman wrote, "Here is a little something I want you guys to know about me. First of all, I have to thank you for accepting me and for being my fans. I hope and will try my best to live up to your expectations in every film. I am being very choosy about the films I am doing and concentrating on good scripts to the best of my judgement because I know that whatever I do now will be compared to 'Maine Pyar Kiya.'" (sic)

Towards the end of the letter, Salman wrote, "People say that I have made it, I don't think so. I have yet to make it but I know one thing that I have been accepted by you." (sic)

In his letter, he also wrote that he will give his 100% best and fans need to be rest assured that his next will be a good one. He expressed his love for fans and also said that he hopes that fans will continue to love him and the day they stop loving him, they will stop seeing his films which will be an end to his career.

Well, throughout his career spanning over 36 years, Salman Khan has worked in over 111 movies, apart from some cameos and special appearances. Salman boasts a huge fandom and fans wait for his movies with high excitement. 

On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Tiger 3. Now he has teamed up with Ghajini fame AR Murugadoss for Sikandar. He has several other projects in the pipeline including the highly anticipated Tiger Vs Pathaan and The Bull.
