Salman Khan's film with Atlee to be an epic period drama film like ‘Magadheera’

Superstar Salman Khan has reportedly teamed up with Atlee for an epic reincarnation period drama like SS Rajamouli’s ‘Magadheera’. The ambitious mega-budget film is in the works for over a year, and spans two striking timelines- past and present.

Megastar Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan are being considered to play parallel leads in the period-era film. The romantic fantasy action drama film promises stunning visuals of a fictional world, showcasing Salman Khan as a warrior like never before.

While details about the present-day storyline are still under wraps, this project is set to be a cinematic spectacle! If everything falls into place, Salman Khan will play a warrior for the second time after Veer. Although Veer was a box office dud, fans have high hopes on the untitled movie that is in works for over a year.

While Zareen Khan romanced Salman in Veer, the lead actress is yet to be finalised, reports said. The makers are reportedly looking for a stunning actress like Kajal Agarwal who portrayed Indu in Ram Charan’s ‘Magadheera’.

While Magadheera was a blockbuster and catapulted Ram Charan to superstardom, other reincarnation movies have often failed to impress the audience. In a glaring example was late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Raabta’ that was an epic box office failure.

However, fans are hopeful that Salman Khan will carry off the role of a warrior and impress the audience under Atlee’s direction.
On the work front, Salman Khan is currently shuttling between the shoots of his upcoming movie ‘Sikandar’ and Bigg Boss season 18. The Bollywood ‘Sultan’ also has a couple of more movies lined up in his kitty.

On the other hand, Atlee is yet to announce his next after the stupendous success of ‘Jawan’ with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
