Salman Khan in Sanam Teri Kasam 2 with Harshvardhan Rane! Directors say...

Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane's Sanam Teri Kasam is in the headlines following its re-release in 2025. Though the romantic-tragic flick failed at the box office initially, Sanam Teri Kasam is scripting new records with its re-release. Amid this, director-duo Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao recently confirmed that the script of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is completed and the team will soon go on the floors with a release target in February 2026. Well, recently, the director-duo expressed their interest and excitement to cast Salman Khan in the sequel.

During a recent conversation with Filmygyan, Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao revealed about considering casting Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the sequel.

The director-duo was presented with fans' questions, one of which was a request to cast Salman Khan in Sanam Teri Kasam 2. Well, in response, they readily agreed. However, they added that it depends on Salman.

Radhika said, "Arey yaar, aapke munh mein ghee shakkar, but vo apni destiny ke maalik hain." (May it happen as you say, but he is the master of his own destiny.)

Immediately, Vinay added, Please, aap hi unhe bata dijiye. Unhe ye clip tag karke sir ko bheja jaye. Salman sir, please okay boliye." (You only tell him, tag, and send this clip to him. Salman sir, please say yes.)

Further, Vinay said that Salman has been their 'mentor' and they will be elated to have Salman as a part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2. 

Dedicating the Kick actor 'Sun Zara', a song from his film Lucky, he said, "Sanam Teri Kasam 2 with you sir."

Salman Khan's Prediction For Sanam Teri Kasam Proved to Be True

Further, the directors also recalled showing Salman the trailer of Sanam Teri Kasam four days before its release. They also shared that Salman called the trailer 'mindblowing' and predicted that the film would be a super hit. However, when he inquired about the film's release and learnt that it was just a couple of days away, he remarked that they were 'doomed' as nobody was aware of their film coming to the theatres.

Well, Salman Khan's predictions proved to be true as Sanam Teri Kasam bombed at the box office in its initial release and became a super hit upon its re-release.
