Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai broke up because...: Sohail Khan made shocking revelation
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Diva Aishwarya Rai's love story has remained one of the most talked about tales of the tinsel town. The duo first met in the late 90s while filming Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The on-screen lovers soon started dating each other in real life. However, the duo officially broke up in 2001. While Aish openly stated that she was subjected to physical, emotional and verbal abuse as well as infidelity for which they parted ways, Sallu never responded to her statement. Well, Salman's brother Sohail Khan revealed the reason for their breakup.
During an old interview, Sohail Khan said that even though his family had treated Aishwarya Rai as one of their own, the actress had caused his brother Salman to feel insecure. Aish kept their relationship under wraps.
Sohail was quoted as saying, "Now she (Aishwarya) weeps in public. When she was going around with him, when she used to visit our home so often like part of the family, did she ever acknowledge the relationship? She never did. That made Salman feel insecure."
Further, he added, "He wanted to know how much she wanted him. She would never let him be sure of that."
Salman Khan never addressed their breakup publicly. However, composer Ismail Darbar once shared that Salman would cry out in pain whenever the song Tadap Tadap song from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam played.
Despite their breakup, Salman considered Aishwarya as an important part of his life. He even insisted on keeping personal lives 'personal' and even extended best wishes to her and Abhishek Bachchan for their marriage.
