Salaar dethrones Baahubali: Chapter 1 as Prabhas’ second highest grosser, marches towards Rs 700cr

Rebel star Prabhas is back with a bang and there’s no stopping him anymore. Ever since its release, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire seems unstoppable at the box office. The high-octane action-drama film is having a dream run and shattering box office records.

According to reports, the action-drama film has entered the Rs 660+ crore club worldwide and is all set to enter the Rs 700 crore club soon. 

Meanwhile, the Prashanth Neel directorial has dethroned Prabhas’ Baahubali: Chapter 1 to emerge as Rebel Star’s second-highest-grosser after Baahubali: Chapter 2. Although it is unimaginable to beat Baahubali 2’s record, Prabhas fans are hopeful Salaar will enter the Rs 1000-crore club easily.

With no big releases until the release of Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu’s ‘Guntur Kaaram’ on January 12, Salaar is expected to easily enter the Rs 1000-crore club. Even after 12 days of its release, Salaar is earning in double digits despite its clash with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’.

Prabhas fans are super elated after the massive record as the Rebel star had a low phase in his career after his three releases Radhe Shyam, Saaho and Adipurush failed to recreate the magic of Baahubali. 

Speaking to ANI, Prabhas said, “I’m deeply grateful and humbled by the immense love and support given by the audience. Witnessing Salaar’s fantastic run at the box office has been nothing but an incredible reward for me and my entire team.”

Now, fans are eagerly waiting for Salaar: Part 2 and expect it to not clash with any movie as its box office collide with Dunki severely affected its collection.
