Saira Banu gives glimpse into vintage friendship tales of Dilip Kumar

Irrespective of age, people across the world are celebrating friendship day with much excitement. Social media is flooded with wishes, messages, and captions related to friendship. The world has witnessed several immortal tales of friendship. Bollywood has also witnessed exemplary bonds of friendships, both onscreen and offscreen.

Veteran actress Saira Banu on this special day shared vintage friendship tales of his late husband and acting legend Dilip Kumar.

Sharing a collection of vintage pictures brought together in a video, the veteran actress wrote, “Friends were the light of Sahib's life. At a glance one may witness Sahib, a legend on his own, surrounded by the legends of the time. However, beneath this stardom persona, lived and breathed, stories of time tested friendships, camaraderie, jest, laughter, a carefree abandon and moments of boyish nonchalance.”

Further, the caption read: This video reveals a little of those joyful days, where time has frozen a few moments for fond remembrance. For Sahib and his mates, friendship was not something rooted in give and take, neither was it coloured with expectations. It was a matter of heart, and heart alone, as it should be. In the coming days I shall endeavour to share, stories from Sahib's life that bear testimony to the bond he shared with only a few.

The rare set of pictures included Dilip Kumar with Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Dev Anand, Yash Chopra, Sunil Dutt, Subhash Ghai, Ashok Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Saira Banu.
