RRR scripts history again, nominated for Golden Globe Awards in 2 categories

SS Rajamouli’ s RRR , starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan , Alia Bhatt , Olivia Morris, and Ajay Devgn, has once again scripted history after it got nominated for the prestigious Golden Globe Awards in two categories. 

As per reports, the magnum opus has grabbed two spots on the nominations list for the 2023 Golden Globes. The action-packed flick has been nominated in the Best Picture – Non-English Language Category and also in Best Original Song- Motion Picture category for Naatu Naatu. 

In the Best Picture category, RRR is competing with All Quiet on the Western Front, Argentina, 1985, Close and Decision to Leave. 

On the other hand, in the Best Original Song category, Naatu Naatu is competing with ‘Carolina’ from Where the Crawdads Sing, 

‘Hold My Hand’ from Top Gun: Maverick, ‘Ciao Papa’ from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinochio and ‘Lift Me Up’ from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Such an announcement overwhelmed the fans who got disheartened after the Oscars row. Now, some have opined that an Oscar nomination is very much possible now. 

Meanwhile, demands for including Jr NTR in the nomination list of ‘Actor in a Leading Role’ category has grown large. 

Fans have congratulated the entire team, especially the captain of RRR movie, Rajamouli. 

Later, Rajamouli thanked the jury for nominating RRR as well as the audience for showering love for the movie.

Released on March 24 this year, RRR emerged as one of the most successful movies of the year. The worldwide box office collection grossed over Rs 1200 crore. After receiving immense praise from international celebrities, including Hollywood directors, actors as well as movie lovers overseas, the movie still remains the talk of the town.
