  • RRR is all set to hit the Indian theaters tomorrow 25th March.
  • Advance bookings are yet to pick up in the Northern states which can be a cause to worry for the producers.

Just one day to go for the ambitious venture of Rajamouli-RRR to hit the theaters in India. The movie has already been released in the US and has reportedly broken all the records created by the Baahubali franchise. Even in India, the advance bookings are on a rampage for RRR in Southern states, especially Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. And it was quite expected as it is the home territory of Rajamouli as well as for both the lead stars-Ram Charan and Jr. NTR.

However, the major concern is that the advance bookings are yet to pick up in the Northern states. The team expects RRR to be a big blockbuster similar to Baahubali 2. And that is why the trio of Rajamouli, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan toured the prominent places in Northern, Southern, and Western India to ensure that RRR gets recognition across the country.

Even then, the advance bookings have not picked up for the movie in the northern belt which can be a cause to worry for the producers. In Bollywood’s hub Mumbai, the audience is showing interest in RRR but most of the bookings have gone for The Kashmir Files.

This Vivek Agnihotri-helmed flick has already snubbed the run of Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey and is expected to stay at the peak for a couple of more weeks. However, there is a possibility that current bookings might pick up if the initial few shows impress the audience and they spread a good word about RRR.

The scenario in both New Delhi and Ahmadabad is no different. The situation is worst in Pune, Chennai, and Kolkata. However, things are looking brighter in Hyderabad and Bengaluru with 96% and 50”% advance bookings respectively.

Apart from the fact that two big movies-The Kashmir Files and Bachchan Pandey are still running in the theaters, the debacle of Radhe Shyam has also contributed towards making the Hindi movie buffs take it easy this time. They would rather hear good reviews first and then go to watch RRR in the theaters. Moreover, high ticket prices can also be one of the reasons why people are not ready to opt for advance booking and would rather wait for the overall response to RRR.
