Rohit Shetty makes major 'golmaal' in Cop Universe! Filmmaker poked for having same actors in multiple roles

Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor's 'Singham Again' has been the talk of the town for a couple of months now. While Arjun is playing the villain, Ajay and Bebo are reprising their roles in the flick with Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff in cameos. Rohit Shetty has brought all the stars of his Cop Universe together in Singham Again and the trailer has received mixed response. However, now a few movie freaks have poked the filmmaker for making a major 'Golmaal' in his franchise by having the same actors in multiple roles.

Notably, Shetty's Cop Universe began with 2011's Singham with Ajay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. Next it was 2014's Singham Returns in which Kareena replaced Kajal. The universe expanded with Ranveer's Simmba (2018) and Akki's Sooryavanshi (2021). While Ajay had a cameo in Simmba, he and Ranveer had cameos in Sooryavanshi. And now, Simmba, Sooryavanshi, Shakti Shetty (Deepika) and ACP Satya Pattnaik (Tiger) will have extended cameos in Singham Again. While all the stars of the Cop Universe have assembled in the movies, it is quite tricky when actors have completely different roles in different movies under the franchise.

As analysed by a film buff, Suchitra Bandekar played Kajal's mother in Singham but was seen as Ashutosh Rana's wife in Simmba. Similarly, Ashwini Kalsekar played a journalist in Singham Returns but she played a judge in Simmba. In the same way, several other actors who were seen as cops in Simmba played completely different roles in Sooryavanshi.

In the video shared by an Instagram user The Mature Bro, the movie buff also mentioned Salman Khan's cameo as Chulbul Pandey from the Dabangg franchise. If this happens, Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj, who played the antagonists in Dabangg were seen in different roles in the Cop Universe. Moreover, Kareena, who plays Bajirao Singham's wife in the Cop Universe, had done an item song in Dabangg 2.

The movie buff in his analysis video jokes, "Should we assume that the Cop Universe is already a multiverse! Bina alternate timeline ka bahana diye, ye golmaal fix nahi hone wala (Without accounting for alternate timelines, this mess won't be fixed)."
