Hombale Films has set the stage for a grand return to the mystical world of Kantara. On actor Rishab Shetty’s birthday, the production house unveiled the first look poster of Kantara: Chapter 1, promising an epic prequel to the 2022 blockbuster that won hearts across the globe.
The poster showcases Rishab Shetty in a riveting avatar, a bearded medieval warrior charging ahead with a sword, eyes blazing with intensity.
Sharing the poster on X (formerly Twitter), Hombale Films wrote, “Where legends are born and the roar of the wild echoes. Kantara – A prequel to the masterpiece that moved millions.”
They added, “Wishing the trailblazing force behind the legend, Rishab Shetty, a divine and glorious birthday. The much-awaited prequel Kantara: Chapter 1 roars into cinemas worldwide on October 2, 2025.”
A Cinematic Journey Shaped by Challenges
The fantasy action-thriller’s production wasn’t without hurdles. From notices by forest officials to a boat mishap and the tragic loss of a junior artist, the journey faced unforeseen delays. However, the makers confirmed the film remains on track for its Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra release.
Co-produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, and written and directed by Rishab Shetty himself, Kantara: Chapter 1 features an ambitious war sequence choreographed with national and international experts, involving over 500 fighters and 3,000 participants.
As the legacy of Kantara continues, Hombale Films is also gearing up for its powerhouse lineup, including Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam.
With Kantara: Chapter 1 arriving on October 2, fans can expect a cinematic spectacle that blends folklore, spirituality, and breathtaking action. The roar of Kantara is ready to echo once more.
