Rohan Sippy, who was involved in this year's debut of Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach and Mithya, refers to 2022 as the year of experimentation. The episodes of the new webseries will be released weekly, leaving the audiences in suspense, and can be watched on Disney+ Hotstar. Sippy says, "We have seen filmmakers continuously seek in terms of the content as well as the concept."

Shweta Tripathi, who appeared in the second seasons of The Gone Game, Escaype Live, and Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, claims "artists have only scratched the surface of the iceberg." Thrillers, fiction, K-dramas, documentaries, and more are available. "We can explore genres and ideas that would not have otherwise been explored thanks to OTT."

Language agnostic: According to Ormax, a media consulting firm, the number of Indians who watched original and dub versions of English, Turkish, Spanish, and Korean productions that were produced abroad will virtually double in 2022. OTT places a strong emphasis on regional languages, which are valued by audiences. With 28.2 million and 23.4 million viewers, respectively, House of the Dragon and Moon Knight have surpassed Hawkeye's previous record of 19.3 million viewers set in 2017.

Sequel-ruled: The year was dominated by sequels to a number of successful productions, including Gullak 3, Panchayat 2, Delhi Crime 2, the 3rd season of Four More Shots Please!, Undekhi 2, Breathe Universe, and Masaba Masaba's 2nd season. This demonstrates that folks are banking on their previous successes instead of new shows.

Pushing the boundaries: The thrill of Freddy, the killing of Human, and the cheer of Rocket Boys make OTT a genre-blending year. Furthermore, in addition to Malaika Arora, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, and Neelam Kothari sharing intimate details of their personal lives on screen, Ranveer Singh also engaged in an adventure with Bear Grylls.

The OTT is making noise!
