Rekha gives tight hug to Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson; touching moment goes viral

A heartwarming video of veteran actress Rekha hugging Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, has gone viral. The clip surfaced from the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema legend Raj Kapoor, held in Mumbai on Friday.

Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan share a controversial history due to a gossiped relationship during their early years in Bollywood. Despite their past, the duo have maintained a cordial relationship with the actress often saying positive things about the Bachchan family.

Regardless, Rekha's gesture towards Agastya captivated the audience. In the video, Agastya can be seen greeting Rekha with folded hands. She responds by holding his face to bless him, creating a touching moment. His mother, Shweta Bachchan, and sister, Navya Naveli Nanda, are also present.

Meanwhile, the actress’ emotional performance at the event was a highlight. Wearing a golden saree, she paid tribute to Raj Kapoor by folding her hands in namaste and softly touching his portrait. This moment was followed by a minute of silence and graceful photo sessions.

The Raj Kapoor Film Festival, commemorating his 100th birthday, showcased ten of his iconic films, celebrating his legacy, and will run from December 13 to 15.

Organized by the Kapoor family, the event saw a star-studded attendance including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Karisma Kapoor. Before hugging Agastya, Rekha was seen paying her respects to a poster of Raj Kapoor, visibly emotional.
