On the eve of Makar Sankranti, Rebel star Prabhas unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming pan-India film ‘The Raja Saab’. Directed by Maruti, the romantic comedy entertainer features Prabhas in a never-seen-before role.
Known for action movies, this is the first time Prabhas will be seen in a horror comedy film. Fans are also super excited to see Prabhas, the ‘Darling’ of Tollywood doing comedy. His last rom-com was ‘Darling’ opposite Kajal Agarwal which went on to become a blockbuster and ran for more than 100 days in several theatres.
Prabhas shared the first look poster of the film on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Presenting #TheRajaSaab's First Look in this festive season. Wishing you all joy and happiness!”
In the poster, Prabhas can be seen dancing wearing a lungi in the original Telugu style. Fans are already super excited and waiting eagerly for the film.
The film is being directed by Maruthi, whose is known for horror-comedy films like ‘Prema Katha Chitram, Mahanubhavudu and Prati Roju Pandage. The music composer is Thaman S while the VFX is led by Kamal Kannan of Magadheera and Baahubali fame.
“The Raja Saab’ will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Prabhas who had a great year with the stupendous success of Salaar is gearing up for the release of his most ambitious project Kalki. The film is scheduled to release on May 9, 2024 and Prabhas is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the film is received well by the audience.
Apart from Kalki and ‘The Raja Saab’, Prabhas also has Salaar 2 in his kitty. He is also in talks for more pan-India action movies.
