Vidhu Vinod Chopra's latest film, ‘12th Fail,’ has become a recipient of widespread acclaim, not only for its compelling narrative but also for the outstanding performance of actor Vikrant Massey. Massey portrays the inspiring journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma, a character who triumphs over poverty to achieve the esteemed position of an IPS officer.

The film recently gained attention for its meticulous attention to detail when a viewer on X (formerly Twitter) spotted a cameo by the real-life IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and his wife, IRS officer Shraddha Joshi, in the background of a scene.

Vikrant Massey, who embodies Manoj Kumar Sharma's role, responded enthusiastically, confirming the real-life couple's presence in the scene. This subtle inclusion serves as a small yet heartfelt tribute by @VVCFilms to the actual protagonists. Interestingly, Massey revealed another trivia tidbit - the scene was shot at Delhi Haat, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the film's portrayal.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's ‘12th Fail,’ now available on Disney+ Hotstar, has not only resonated with audiences but has also earned an independent nomination for the Oscars 2024.

The film has garnered praise from industry stalwarts such as Kamal Haasan, Rishabh Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Farhan Akhtar, and Anil Kapoor.
