Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is back in the headlines with her latest web series ‘Karmma Calling.’ Raveena has remained a prolific actress throughout her career and is a recipient of several prestigious awards including Padma Shri for her contribution to Indian cinema. She ruled the silver screen in the 90s with several blockbusters.

Throughout her acting career, Raveena worked with several A-listed actors. However, there is no movie of Raveena with Shah Rukh Khan. Though she was to work with SRK for four movies, due to various reasons Raveena walked out of the projects. Moreover, the reasons for which the KGF actress stepped out are quite surprising.

Recently, during the promotions of her Web Series Karmaa Calling, Raveena revealed that in the 1990s, she agreed to work with SRK for four movies. However, the projects encountered several issues.

Talking about the movies during a recent interview with Mirchi Plus, Raveena said that she was offered the role of lead actress in Yash Chopra’s Darr. She was to play Juhi Chawla’s character in the movie alongside SRK. However, she declined the offer.

Raveena described the Jawan actor as a ‘genuinely warm, caring person.’ However, she never got the opportunity to share screen space with him (SRK.)

As the actress shared, the first movie got cancelled due to the director’s demise. She walked out of the second movie as she was not satisfied with the costumes.

Raveena was quoted as saying, “We did Zamana Deewana but that also got delayed. Darr was something that I was offered but I stepped back.”

During an earlier conversation with ANI, Raveena revealed why she stepped out of Darr. She said, “Darr had come to me first, though it was not vulgar, but earlier there were some scenes in Darr, I was not comfortable with.”

Later, the makers roped in Juhi Chawla and the movie went on to become a blockbuster. Though SRK was seen as an anti-hero in the movie, the actor laid a base in the industry with his stellar performance and the rest is history.

In the 2000s Raveena worked in movies that won her critical acclaim and continued her work in film and television. Later, she made her OTT debut with Aranyak which received positive reviews for her performance. Even the actress garnered appreciation from all quarters for her powerful performance in KGF: Chapter 2.
