Rashmika vs  Rashmika showdown on Dec 6 as Pushpa 2, Chhaava set for box office clash 

Allu Arjun fans were initially disappointed by the unexpected postponement of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule.’ However, excitement has returned with the announcement of a new release date- December 6, 2024. The news was revealed through a striking poster featuring Allu Arjun in action mode, wielding a sword and showcasing his iconic style. The makers expressed gratitude to fans for their patience.

This sets up a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava,’ particularly significant in Maharashtra due to its connection with Chhatrapati Shivaji. Directed by Laxman Utekar, known for hits like ‘Luka Chuppi,’ ‘Mimi,’ and ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,’ ‘Chhaava’ is generating high expectations. Adding intrigue, Rashmika Mandanna is in pivotal roles in both films, setting up a Rashmika vs Rashmika showdown on December 6.

Rashmika Mandanna might prefer to avoid this clash as it could split the audience, impacting box office earnings for both projects. 

Similarly, Allu Arjun and the Mythri Movies production house would likely prefer to avoid competition to maximize the success of "Pushpa 2: The Rule." If their target is 1000 crore, a clash with a historical epic like "Chhaava" is not ideal.

The decision to proceed or postpone ‘Chhaava’ lies with its makers, who must consider the implications of competing directly with ‘Pushpa 2.’

Meanwhile, there is speculation that ‘Chhaava’ might postpone its release to January, aiming for the lucrative Republic Day slot. The high chance of postponement is due to Rashmika's involvement in both films. However, time will tell if these big-budget films will lock horns or avert the clash.
