Rashmika Mandanna is currently enjoying a good run in the movie industry. She is one of the very few South Indian actresses who is successfully managing her career both in the South as well as in Bollywood with hits like Animal, and Pushpa: The Rise. It took her long years of hard work to get the pan-India recognition that she enjoys now.

So when an old video clip from the engagement of Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty went viral recently Rashoo fans got furious and very much upset. While Bollywood movie buffs may not be aware of this bitter episode in the life of the Tollywood actress, most of the South Indian fans can recall that Rashmika and Rakshit Shetty got engaged many years ago.

The Southern beauty made her debut with a Kannada movie Kirik Party opposite Rakshit Shetty in 2016. Around 2017, the two started dating and later on announced their engagement. There was a huge age difference between the two actors. At the time of their engagement, Rakshit was 34 years old whereas Rashmika was just 21. Sadly within a year, the pair called off their engagement for reasons unknown.

Importantly, the actress was very much disturbed after the breakup and went through turmoil. During one of the interviews when a journalist asked her a question related to her breakup with Rakshit Shetty Rashmika became uncomfortable. Vijay Deverakonda who was besides her promoting their flick Dear Comrade intervened and said, “I don't even know your question...but it is no one's business. Like I am giving an answer. I don't even understand the question...how is it anyone's business?"

Now years later, when it seems Rashmika Mandanna has already moved ahead both in her career and personal life, this is not the time for her to look back. That is why when the engagement video went viral today, fans of the Geetha Govindam star became furious.
