Rashmika Mandanna Enters The World Of ‘Animal’ To Play Geetanjali

For national crush Rashmika Mandanna there seems to be no looking back for now as she has finally joined the cast of ‘Animal’. With this, she will be seen romancing Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.

On the occasion of Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, director of the movie Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to Twitter to confirm that Rashmika will now be replacing Parineeti Chopra who had earlier opted out of Animal for Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila.

“Happy Ugadi people 🙂 We welcome Rashmika Mandanna to the world of ANIMAL to play Geetanjali,” wrote Vanga. The Pushpa: The Rise actress replied to Vanga and wrote ‘let’s do thisssss’ along with heart, bomb and fire emojis.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, the film also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobbly Deol in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, the movie is expected to hit the floors this summer and may hit the theaters in October 2022.

Talking about the movie, Ranbir had earlier said, “During the pandemic, we all got some time to introspect and choose films that are close to our hearts. So when Sandeep narrated the story, I grew close to the character and was immediately keen on doing the role.”

Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios and Bhadrakali Pictures are reportedly producing Animal.
