Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is basking in the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, seems to have bagged another project with ace director for his next film ‘Spirit’ opposite Rebel star Prabhas. Although there's no official confirmation, if true, this collaboration would mark Rashmika and Prabhas' first on-screen appearance together.

According to a recent report by Siasat, Rashmika has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming movie ‘Spirit’.

The details about 'Spirit' are limited, but Reddy has revealed that the film is scheduled to commence shooting in September 2024.

Meanwhile, Rashmika is currently engrossed in the shooting of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' where she stars alongside Allu Arjun which is set to hit screen on August 15.

In a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, she expressed the vastness of the most anticipated sequel, promising it to be "bigger" than ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.

Sharing details, Rashmika revealed completing a song shoot for 'Pushpa 2' and wondered at the creative process of the entire crew, stating, "Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun." The actress emphasized the team's commitment to meeting the high expectations set by the success of 'Pushpa: The Rise.'

Meanwhile, Director Sandeep Vanga Reddy opened up about Rashmika Mandanna not being nominated for the Filmfare in a conversation with Siddharth Kannan.

He praised Rashmika for her performance in Animal and he stated that he was surprised that she was nominated in the actress category.
“It is not an easy performance, what I believed. She was giggling, laughing. She is going mad. She is going crazy. That was not easy. It is an 11-minute scene. She was holding the scene,” Reddy was quoted saying.
