Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri-starrer Animal emerged as a blockbuster with a roaring box office collection. Additionally, the movie helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga has scripted another record with 226% higher views on Netflix. Now, all eyes are on its sequel, Animal Park, and the related updates.
As per the latest reports, the makers will start working on the movie's script in February and it is expected to go on the floors in 2025. Recently, Ranbir disclosed that the movie will be darker, more complex, and deeper than Animal. Animal’s story ended with a small introduction of Aziz who exactly looks like Vijay (Ranbir). Aziz is a professional butcher and has taken a vow to take revenge for his brother Abrar's (Bobby Deol) death. Aziz has a plastic surgery done so that he looks exactly like Vijay. The sequel will probably focus on Aziz’s avenge story and how Vijay takes him down.

However, recently Shahid Kapoor opened up about the possibility of his character Kabir Singh collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor’s Ranvijay in the sequel.
During a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the Kabir Singh actor expressed his enthusiasm about the prospect of a crossover in Animal Park and also shared his doubts about it. However, he acknowledged the excitement the crossover would bring to the audience but also emphasised the difficulty in the collaboration stating that the universe of both the characters are quite different.
Further, he mentioned that while it would be fantastic if it materialised, there are practical considerations to address such as who would write it, and when it could happen.
Well, the audience has showered immense love for Shahid as Kabir Singh and Ranbir won the ‘Best Actor’ award at the Filmfare Awards 2024 for his stellar performance as Ranvijay. Crossover of these two characters could shatter the box office records.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is currently busy with promotions of his upcoming ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ along with Kriti Sanon. Written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the movie is scheduled for theatrical release on February 9. The movie also features Dharmendra.
