Ranveer Singh's next: Aditya Dhar to create R&AW world, ropes in big names from Bollywood

Ranveer Singh is currently going through a bad patch and desperately needs a big hit. Currently, he has two big movies in his kitty- Don 3 by Farhan Akhtar and an Aditya Dhar movie that is based on the R& AW world. The latest update says that Dhar and the team have roped in some big names in Bollywood. Actors including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal have been roped in for key roles.

Interestingly, Akshaye Khanna who is known for being very choosy about the character he plays has given a nod for this Ranveer Singh -led flick. Already Yami Gautam has been confirmed to play an important role in this film. The movie is all set to go on the floors in Thailand from July 25 as a lot of intel network-related interactions will take place in Thailand.

Pinkvilla sources have said, “It’s a film set in the golden era of Indian Intelligence Agencies, coinciding with the rise of R&AW. The team unites for the international leg, followed by schedules in India and UAE.” The source further revealed that the screenplay has been inspired by some real events that are a part of the R&AW’s history books.

While the movie’s title is yet to be finalised the source said, “The official announcement is also around the corner. Ranveer is excited to venture into the new world of agents with Aditya Dhar ’s next. While Sanjay Dutt plays the negative turn in the film, Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal will be seen as a part of the Indian System.”

According to the source, the look tests for all the characters have been completed and ensured that the actors match the traits of agents from real life. It said, “After URI, this is the perfect follow-up for director Aditya Dhar. He is intrigued by the world of spies and believes that his next will connect with the audiences all across. Ranveer is also pumped up to return to the sets with Dhar’s next. The film will be shot over 6 months and hit the big screen in the 2nd half of 2025.”
