As per a report in News 18, the film’s director Ayan Mukerji has finalized Ranveer Singh to play the role of Dev, the father of Ranbir Kapoor (Shiva) in the film.

“Ranveer Singh has been finalized to play the role of Dev. He has signed the dotted line. The scripting for the second part is still in progress and the film is expected to roll in 2025,” Ayan was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Ayan Mukerji is busy with War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and RRR fame actor Jr. NTR. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is also busy in the shooting of his upcoming movie Baiju Bawra. So, when Brahmastra: Part 2 will go on the floors is still unclear.
