The hype for the upcoming Hindi movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ is quite high as the movie will mark the return of filmmaker Karan Johar as director after a long gap. Moreover, cine lovers seem to be quite excited about the movie starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead and veteran actors including Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
Currently, Ranveer and Alia are busy promoting their upcoming film. Recently, the actors duo, accompanied by KJo, will be connecting with over 50, 000 students in over 100 cities across India. The move will be a part of I.I.M.U.N. (India's International Movement to United Nations) "Back to School" series.
During the event, Ranveer recounted a funny anecdote from his school life. The Simmba actor admitted his fear of Mathematics.
Without feeling embarrassed, Ranveer disclosed that once he got zero out of a hundred in Mathematics. But, as he was talkative, he was given a minus 10 by the teacher.
Ranveer said, “Zero on hundred se koi lower laaya hai? Main laaya hun. Jisko mila tha maths mein anda, Zero on hundred minus ten for talking, so minus ten on hundred.”
Well, Mathematics has remained a horror for many students. Successful actors are no different from the common people and must have gone through such a phase. Though he got a minus 10 in Mathematics, his perfect equations and calculations in front of the camera have yielded good results. Ranveer though gets trolled for his bizarre outfits and humorous approach, he boasts a loyal fandom.
Briefing on Ranveer’s upcoming movie, ahead of its release, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has reportedly recovered 90% of its budget.
As per reports, the movie is made at a budget of Rs 160 crore and a further Rs 18 crore was spent on print and publicity. This takes the total production cost of the flick to a staggering 178 crore. Calculating the recoveries, the movie has received Rs 80 crores for its digital rights from Amazon Prime Video and Rs 50 crores for its satellite rights by Colors channel. Further, the makers have got another Rs 30 crores from the sale of its music rights to Saregama.
In total, the total recovery stands at Rs 160 crore so far. Well, if the reports are anything to go by, the makers can now relax and hope for the audiences to like the film.
