After a super successful year with Brahmastra, chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor is all set to rock and roll in Luv Ranjan’s ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar’. The much-awaited movie also stars the cutest Shraddha Kapoor in a pivotal role.

After intriguing fans by just revealing the abbreviation 'TJMM', the makers released the film's quirky first poster.

Interestingly, the poster shares an uncanny resemblance with Ranbir Kapoor’s grandfather Raj Kapoor. Fans have pointed out that the way Ranbir holds Shraddha in the film’s poster is very similar to the iconic poster of Raj Kapoor and Nargis-starrer Barsaat from 1949.

In the poster, we can see Shraddha dangling on the arm of Ranbir, in an exactly similar manner as Nargis did with Raj Kapoor. The movie was produced by Raj Kapoor himself and went on to become the highest-grossing movie in Indian cinema at the time of its release.

Ranbir’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar seems to be inspired from Barsaat’s poster albeit with a modern twist.

The film promises a completely fresh take on love and romance in the modern era and features an upbeat title track composed by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Shraddha took to her Instagram on Wednesday and shared the first look as she wrote in the caption, "And the title is... Finally Here !!! Dekhoooo."

The film has been directed by Luv Ranjan, who is known for films like 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' series 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' and 'Akaash Vani'. The film, produced by Luv Films' Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series, will have a festive release worldwide in cinemas on Holi, March 8, 2023.

On the professional front, Shraddha was last seen in a cameo role in Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya. On the other hand, Ranbir had a successful year with Brahmastra but his movie ‘Shamshera’ turned out to be a dud at the box office.
