Notably, Sara shares a great bond with her granny Sharmila. She often shares adorable pictures with her granny on social media. Recently, the duo graced an event together on the occasion of Mother's Day. During the show, Sara and Sharmila revealed about their relationship and also answered several questions.

At the event hosted by YFLO in Delhi, Sharmila and Sara had a fun session. When Sara was asked who she thinks would star opposite her granny in a modern rom-com if she were to do one opposite a young heartthrob. She had to make a choice between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
In response, the Gaslight actress picked the Animal actor. She said, "Ranbir Kapoor. I think that you need class to star opposite badi amma.”
However, Sharmila disapproved of Sara's choice with a nod. To this, the Kedarnath actress said, “So, who do you want? Ranveer Singh?"
Next, Sara joked, "So, Ranveer Singh it is."
