The release date of Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, is inching closer. Movie lovers are quite excited to watch the chocolate boy in a never-seen avatar. Shamshera will mark several 'firsts' including Ranbir's dual role and he sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt. 

Scheduled to release worldwide on July 22, Shamshera is one of the anticipated Hindi movies as fans are quite excited to witness the clash between onscreen and real 'Sanju'.

On the other hand, Ranbir also is quite excited about his upcoming. Moreover, Brahmastra is the next scheduled movie which will mark the first-time onscreen pairing of Ranbir with his wife Alia Bhatt. Expectations from Brahmastra are quite high.

At the same time, fans are also excited after Alia's pregnancy announcement. 

Ranbir-Alia has been hitting the headlines soon after the duo made their love relationship official. In the due course, the duo extensively supported each other in ups and downs, be it Rishi Kapoor's death or extending support for each other's movies. Fans are well aware that the duo share a good chemistry off-screen and onscreen chemistry will reveal after the release of Brahmastra. 

However, when asked about the person/s with whom he would prefer for a road trip, Ranbir showed interest in going with someone else and not Alia Bhatt. 

During a chat show, a part of Shamshera's promotions, Ranbir was asked, "If you were to go on a road trip with two of your contemporaries, who would they be and why?"

To this, Ranbir replied, "Anushka Sharma and Aditya Roy Kapur, crazy people, and lots of fun."

Well, this is something that no fan would expect from Ranbir. Will Alia be able to take in this statement! 

In the same interview, Ranbir was further asked, "Who aside from Aayan and Alia, would you like to be stuck on an island with and why?"

"We will pick a director, Rajamouli, so then I can con him to make a movie starring only me, which we will shoot on the island. Definitely, Lionel Messi, so that we can play beach soccer and I can kiss his left foot. And, probably Arijit Singh, so that at night we all can party and hear him singing," said Ranbir. 

Recently released 'Kesariya' from Brahmastra is regarded as the national love anthem. Featuring the lead couple, Ranbir-Alia, the song has garnered over 25 million views on YouTube. Arijit Singh's soulful voice and Pritam's music composition levelled up the emotions of the lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
