'Ranbir Kapoor is a chameleon!' After Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin wants to work with Animal actor in sequel?

Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD has scripted history with its unstoppable box office run. In its 21-day run at the domestic box office, the sci-fi movie has collected Rs 591 crore and it will soon break the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. And, with this, it will become the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Undeniably, Nag Ashwin is basking in the success of his recent release that brings some of the big names from across the Indian film industry, including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone. Well, after witnessing the success, Ashwin has expressed his desire to work with Ranbir Kapoor. He also referred to RK as a chameleon but the reason is quite interesting. 

Recently, while talking to IWM Buzz, Ashwin said, "Ranbir Kapoor also is a chameleon and could do almost anything. My favourite film was Rocket Singh, I think. Maybe a coming-of-age film which has not been done."

Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor's last release 'Animal,' helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, scripted box office records with Rs 917.82 crore at the worldwide box office. While the movie was surrounded with several controversies, Ashwin took a dig a Vanga by saying that he 'achieved it (success) without any bloodshed'.  

Considering, 'Rocket Singh' as Ashwin's personal choice, he could have some plan in his mind to make a futuristic movie without any bloodshed and just a gripping story. However, fans are speculating, it would be great if Ashwin considers Ranbir Kapoor for the sequel in a major role.

Kalki 2898 AD, the dystopian science fiction film has created mass euphoria with its visuals, set up and scale. The magnum opus is a visual spectacle that heavily draws inspiration from the Indian Epic Mahabharat. The story revolves around a pregnant woman Sumathi (Deepika), who is said to be carrying a child that is the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, the immortal Ashwatthama (Amitabh), who has been tasked to protect the unborn child, Bhairava (Prabhas), a bounty hunter, and ruthless villain Yaskin (Kamal), who wants the child dead as he is aware that the unborn child will be his end.

While speculations are rife that Kalki 2898 AD will beat Baahubali 2: The Conclusion's lifetime collection, the reports about its sequel, indeed, have filled excitement among all. Fans are eagerly waiting to learn more about the world. 

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is busy with Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, in which he is essaying the role of Lord Ram. Reportedly, the movie also stars Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol and Yash in major roles.
