Rakhee’s personal life

However, her return to the silver screen after a hiatus proved that her dedication to her craft was firm, and her performances continued to be applauded.

Rakhee and Gulzar’s relationship remained the talk of the town during their days. Though they were head over heels in love, an incident broke them forever. The incident also included Sanjeev Kumar and Suchitra Sen.

It was during the shooting of Aandhi in Kashmir. As per a report in Pinkvilla, Suchitra was seen partying with Sanjeev during night and while the actor was drunk. Later when Suchitra moved towards her room, the Sholay actor grabbed her hand and started pulling towards her. Meanwhile, Gulzar arrived and held her other hand to save the actress. Suchitra got annoyed over the incident; however, Gulzar managed to take the actress to her room and the duo discussed in the closed room for hours. When Gulzar came out of the room, he was caught by Rakhee. Rakhee was shocked to see her husband coming out from Suchitra’s room in the middle of the night. Though Gulzar tried to pacify her, Rakhee seemed to be in no mood to pacify. She yelled out loud and the hotel staff gathered. Following that, Gulzar’s patience was broken and he apparently slapped his wife.
