Rajneeti 2 script ready: Will Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif return?

Sequel to Prakash  Jha's 2010 hit political drama Raajneeti is in the works and the ace director recently opened up about his plans for the same during the promotions of his web series Ashram 3.

Jha in an interview with BollywoodLife revealed that the script for Raajneeti 2 is already ready, however, the Gangajal director is in two minds as he is exploring new possibilities in the script.

“Raajneeti is one subject where there is another part, which has been written. But, you know, in the field of politics, so much changes (compared to when the script was written), so maybe, but I'm not too sure. There are new subjects on which I've been working on,” said Jha.

Raajneeti, a modern-day retelling of Mahabharata, chronicles the wealthy Pratap clan and a fight for control of its political party between cousins. 

'Raajneeti' had an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, there is no updates on the cast of Rajneeti 2. While fans are very much sure of the return of Ajay Devgn, it is believed that there can be no sequel without Ranbir Kapoor.

So, if Jha considers bringing the old characters and cast, will the newly-married Katrina Kaif, who had played a crucial role in the first part, return? What do you think?
