At a recent awards ceremony, actor Rajkummar Rao, who received a Best Actor award, took a moment to acknowledge the remarkable talent of his co-actor, Viineet Kumar Siingh. For those who are unaware, Viineet and Rajkummar were both a part of Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur. While accepting his award, Rajkummar spoke highly of Viineet’s powerful performances in Chhaava and Superboys Of Malegaon, particularly in MUKKABAAZ.

Rajkummar Rao expressed his belief that Viineet’s performance in 2017 movie Mukkabaaz deserved to be recognized with a National Award. He shared that, in his opinion, the film set a new standard for boxing films in India. “I believe that Mukkabaaz deserved a National Award. I’ve never seen a boxing film of that level in our country and an actor who actually looked and behaved like a boxer, that was only you Viineet." 

Rajkummar’s admiration and kind words for his colleague was evident as he applauded Viineet for his dedication and hard work in the film. He commended Viineet for delivering a performance that not only elevated the film but also contributed to a more genuine representation of the sport in Indian cinema.
