Despite not achieving the same impact as Shah Rukh Khan's other releases this year, ‘Dunki’ is steadily finding its audience. Director Rajkumar Hirani, the creative force behind the film, has been actively engaging with the public through various interviews, offering intriguing insights and dropping revelations.

In a recent revelation, Hirani disclosed that he is in talks with his ‘Sanju’ star Ranbir Kapoor for a new cinematic venture. The director, known for his exceptional storytelling, expressed his fondness for Ranbir, calling him an "absolute sweetheart."

Hirani acknowledged the ongoing discussions in an interview with India Today and said, “Ranbir is an absolute sweetheart. We had a great time making ‘Sanju’. I would definitely love to do another film with him. There are a few scripts with me and we are in touch. So let’s see where this goes."

The potential collaboration has heightened expectations, given the success of their previous venture ‘Sanju’.

Notably, the duo last collaborated for the 2018 hit film ‘Sanju,’ a biopic on the life of Sanjay Dutt, which featured stellar performances by Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, and Dia Mirza.

On a separate note, there were speculations about Rajkumar Hirani teaming up with Ram Charan for a project. However, in a recent interview addressing online rumours, Hirani clarified that there are no immediate plans for collaboration with the acclaimed actor.

While expressing a genuine desire to work with Ram Charan in the future, Hirani debunked the current circulating information about an upcoming movie with the actor, emphasizing its inaccuracy.
