Rajinikanth confesses being an alcoholic! Admits it is the mistake of his life

Thalaivar Rajinikanth is back in the headlines for his upcoming movie ‘Jailer’. In the dark comical thriller, the Tamil superstar will be seen as prison officer/jailer Muthuvel Pandian. The movie set for theatrical release on August 10 also features Tamannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Mohan Lal and Yogi Babu among others.

While fans are eagerly waiting for the movie, the song from Jailer, Kaavaalaa, featuring Tamannaah Bhatia and Rajinikanth has already taken the internet by storm. While Tammanah and Rajini graced the audio launch in Chennai’s Nehru Stadium on Friday, the Robot actor opened up about his past struggles and confessed to being an alcoholic. Further, he also acknowledged it as the biggest mistake of his life. 

The globally celebrated actor also urged his fans not to abuse alcohol but instead consume it responsibly. Furthermore, Rajini shared his regrets about how alcohol had impacted his life. He stated that if he had not indulged in drinking, he believes he could have served society better and achieved even greater stardom than he enjoys currently. 

Undoubtedly, the candid confession and genuine concern about the pitfalls of alcohol could serve as a powerful message to his admirers and encourage responsible choices and lead a balanced life.
