Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa: The Rise has become a pan India success shattering numerous box office records.

Directed by Sukumar, the movie became an instant hit after screening on December 17 last year while paving the way for massive rise in popularity of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna at the national level. 

While both the South icons played the leads, portraying crude and unpolished characters in the flick, an Odia actor M Ramakrishna also known as Shatru in Tollywood industry played the role of Inspector Gobindapa in the movie. 

Ramakrishna, a native of Sarla village in Bargarh district, garnered lot of praise from the audience with his extraordinary performance in the film. 

Not only Pushpa, Ramakrishna had also nailed the character of Pindara in Bahubali-2. Besides, he has also played key roles in some of the box office hits like Legend, DJ, Rangasthalam, Agadu, Ganesh, Balmiki.

After completing his schooling from Atabira Koshala School, Ramakrishna studied microbiology at Ravenshaw College. Later, he moved to Hyderabad to fulfill his dreams and worked in Tollywood industry.

“I am very happy to see my son sharing big screen with the famous actors of Tollywood. I hope, he will bring more laurels for his native State through his acting,” said M Sarojini Devi, mother of Ramakrishna.

Expressing happiness over Ramakrishna’s success his friend G V Rao said, “He always had keen interest in acting since he was in the school. After struggling in the initial days, he is now acting with top stars and his feat deserves a lot of credit.”
