Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ recently completed one year of its release. Tollywood Icon Star and National Crush wowed movie lovers in different ways. The Tollywood movie broke several barriers and emerged as one of the most liked South Indian movies impressing the global audience.

However, Pushpa has failed to impress movie lovers in Russia. Moreover, the distributors have suffered Rs 3 crore loss.

If the recent reports are anything to go by, the makers of Pushpa: The Rise opted to release the movie internationally after receiving an overwhelming response from the global audience for its storyline, hook steps, mannerisms, punch lines, and dialogues. Movie distributors bought the Russian rights of the movie.

Pushpa: The Rise released in Russian theaters. However, the movie was pulled down from the screens within the first three days of its release. Apart from the huge loss for the distributors, the makers also suffered a loss of Rs 3 crore which they had spent on promotions.

The makers failed to recover from the Russian market, the reports claimed.

Notably, as per previous schedules, Pushpa: The Rise opened the travelling festival of six films that was screened in 24 Russian cities as part of an Indian Films Festival from December 1 to 6. The screening was held in the theatres of the Russian network, Cinema Park, in Moscow, St Petersburg, Sochi, and other cities. The film festival was organised by Indian Films, together with the Indian National Cultural Centre and SITA, with support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Embassy of India in Russia.

Well, recently, several movies from the South emerged as blockbusters with huge collections at the box office globally. But, it seems, Pushpa is left behind in the race in terms of global collections even though it recorded a huge success in the Hindi belt.

The craze of Pushpa still remains fresh in the minds of action movie lovers across India. The huge success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ and the mounting anticipation for Pushpa: The Rule says it all. While there are no fresh reports about Pushpa 2, some earlier reports claimed that the makers will be soon stepping on the shooting floors.
