The Rangasthalam director said he would love to direct a Hindi movie in future; however, a lot depends on the right script. He also said that he is inspired by a lot of Hindi films, especially Amitabh Bachchan's movies.

Speaking to PinkVilla, he said, “If I get the opportunity, I would love to do a Hindi film."

He also expressed his desire to work with Akshay Kumar and revealed how the Khiladi Kumar had called him recently and spoken to him about working with him.

"Recently, when I was shooting for a film, Akshay sir called me once and asked, how was I doing. ‘You have to work with me, come to Mumbai.’ So, the day I get the right script, I will definitely go to him,” said Sukumar during the conversation with PinkVilla.

“I don’t wish to work with anyone in particular from Bollywood as it’s always the script that decides the actor. But, I would like to work with Akshay Kumar Garu once,” added the Puspha helmer.

On the work front, Sukumar is gearing up for Pushpa's sequel, which he intends to take to the floors by March 2022. Besides Pushpa 2, he has two more projects lined up- one with Vijay Deverakonda and the other with Ram Charan.
