The first look of Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2: The Rule swept the nation away. While movie lovers were eagerly waiting for the updates of the action-packed sequel, the makers fuelled up the excitement with the teaser and a poster just a day before the Icon Star’s birthday.

Later, adding on to the excitement, reports surfaced that the makers are all set to shoot a major part of the movie in Odisha’s Malkangiri. While Pushpa 2 is not the first South movie to be shot in Odisha, excitement among fans has reached the zenith.

Allu Arjun’s poster look & mystification

Allu Arjun is known and highly admired for his dedication to work. He never fails to stun his fans with his new look in every movie. However, the first look in 'Pushpa: The Rise' left everyone stunned. And now, his look in the poster of Pushpa 2 has shocked many.

While fans are showering praises and expressing their excitement to explore more about the movie and Pushpa’s journey, Allu Arjun’s look left several others confused. Some even went on to make some irrelevant comments to trolling the look. Moreover, some went on to appeal to boycott the movie as Pushpa’s look resembles Maa Kali. Allu Arjun is seen all over in blue while wearing a garland of lemons and flowers, nose studs, big earrings, a blouse and a zari saree.

However, a section of users claimed that Pushpa’s look is related to some religious rituals practiced in south India. Users claimed that such a ritual is practiced during Chittoor’s Ganga Maa Yatra, a folk festival observed in regions of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. But, there are no official reports backing such claims.

It could be a disguise that Pushpa opts for while being underground or it could be the look while offering prayers just before bouncing back to his world of crime.

Why Odisha for shooting?

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer is not the first South movie shot in Odisha. Earlier, several movies including certain Bollywood movies were shot in different parts of Odisha. However, the reports have filled excitement among Odisha fans of Pushpa.

As per a letter, Mythri Movie Makers have sought permission from the local administration to shoot some movie clips in Chitrakonda Block, Swabhimaan Anchal, spillway under-construction bridge and hanging bridge and Saptadhara in Malkangiri district. The makers reportedly plan to start shooting by 1st week of May.

As it seems from the teaser, Pushpa escaped from jail and is wounded by gunshots while escaping. Meanwhile, reports start circulating that Pushpa is dead. However, surprisingly he is captured on the camera installed to monitor the movement of tigers and other wild animals in the forest. However, he bounces back after a gap. While he goes underground, Pushpa might have several hideouts. As per the movie storyline, the remote areas in Malkangiri will suitably fit the requirements.

Moreover, there are close similarities between the border areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha for which the makers opt to select the locations in Malkangiri.

Furthermore, movie shooting requires a friendly environment with low expenses. The regions in Malkangiri are sparsely populated which makes it a friendly atmosphere for shooting purposes. Though Pushpa makers might not have any budget constraints, shooting in Odisha will certainly cut some costs.

Rashmika Mandanna’s death & Sai Pallavi’s entry

Anxiousness among fans spiked high as Rashmika Mandaana aka Srivalli was missing from the teaser. Earlier, rumours were rife that Srivalli will die in the sequel. However, producer Y. Ravi Shankar trashed the rumours and affirmed that Rashmika’s character will remain alive.

Moreover, reports were abuzz that Sai Pallavi will have a key role in the sequel and the Maari 2 actress joined the sets of Pushpa 2 last month. With an extended cameo, Pallavi will reportedly get paired opposite Fahadh Faasil. If the reports are anything to go by, Sai Pallavi will share screen space with Allu Arjun for the first time. Though there are no official reports confirming the buzz, the excitement among fans is at elevated levels.

Meanwhile, after the teaser, some others have opined that Rashmika will die in the sequel and Pallavi will replace her and pair opposite Allu Arjun. On the other hand, some others claim that Pushpa will meet Pallavi during his exile period.

However, fans need to wait for official reports from the makers and shouldn’t get drawn by the rumours.
